BOBBY FOX is a dark horse political candidate running for Congress in Nevada. He's an unpredictable fringe figure, known for wild conspiracy theories about inter-dimensional invaders, but lately his message has become surprisingly popular.
During a radio show, Bobby is accused of murdering one of his two daughters, who died twenty years ago under mysterious circumstances. His staff tries to bury these rumors, but Bobby goes rogue and starts searching for his remaining daughter, threatening his entire campaign as he confronts his past.
Intercut with this story, we follow the events of twenty years ago. KRISTEN, Bobby's older daughter, comes home from college to find her father missing, and her kid sister RUBY left all alone. They track Bobby down, only to discover that their father has suffered a complete mental breakdown.
Kristen tries to care for her father, but Bobby soon spirals into paranoid and potentially violent delusions. When Bobby threatens to drag Ruby down with him into his alternate reality, Kristen realizes she must protect her sister, and herself, from her own father.
Meanwhile, in the present, the election hovers in the limbo of a recount. Trapped between his memories and his madness, Bobby begins to see new evidence of his invasion theories, but isn't sure what to believe anymore. Are his delusions taking over, or is he less crazy than he appears?
BOBBY FOX IN THE LOWER DIMENSION is a modern American folk tale: a swirling vortex of family tragedy, political satire, and inter-dimensional intrigue.
